About
Christine serves as the volunteer Executive Director of the Austin School of Furniture Foundation, co-leading towards the mission of supporting and growing the craft and community of furniture making and woodworking, in order to create greater community connection and combat the problems that arise from fast furniture. She most recently served as the Grants Manager at the Greater Austin YMCA and the Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager and sole foundation grant writer at Refugee Services of Texas, a nonprofit serving refugees, survivors of human trafficking, and other displaced populations in 7 sites across the state. She has nearly 10 years of experience working and volunteering with both nonprofits and cause-based businesses in Texas and Florida, including the Amala Foundation, Clinic For the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, and the CSR group. Christine earned her bachelors degree in Business Management with coursework in Nonprofit Management. She is passionate about the study of ethics, corporate social responsibility, and continuously searching for new ways to improve herself and her community.
